The heart of every good educational establishment is the Library. Minhaj College for Women is no exception to the rule. Its Library has a friendly, quiet atmosphere so students can study and also have the resources they need to achieve good grades. Our Library has expanded over the last year with new material, especially on Islamic Studies, arriving every week. This has been achieved by suggestions from the students and their Lecturers. We are aiming at creating one of the best Reference Libraries on Islamic Studies. At the M.C.W we take great pride in our library facilities. One of the advantages of being a specialist institution is that we can focus on filling our shelves with just one subject area. This means that our students have access to the very best research materials for their studies.

Our library houses 14,000 volumes dedicated to Islamic Studies; approximately half of these are in English, and the other half are in Arabic. These range in subject from primary sources, such as Hadith collections and Qurani Commentaries to literature covering classical manuals on Islamic Law, Islamic Civilization, Culture and Social Studies.

The books have been divided into the following categories:

  • Textbooks
  • Reference books
  • General books and publications
  • Newspapers, journals and magazines
  • Audio & video cassettes & CDs of various Islamic lectures of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
  • C.W has one dedicated, fully-equipped IT suites, which students can use for academic purposes. Our computers are also equipped with the Encyclopedia of Islam and a number of other programs designed to assist students in their research.
