Minhaj College for Women organized a leadership training workshop in the world-renowned tourist resorts of Naran and Kaghan in June 2013. The workshop was held for selected ‘ameerat’ and assistants. Miss Javeria Hassan, in-charge of ‘nizam-e-Ameerat’ presided over the programme while Miss Shazia Butt, Miss Umme Habiba, Muneeba Shafique, Quratulain Zahoor, Madeeha Saddique and Beenish Rafique and College Principal Farah Naz were other participants of the programme.
The training workshop was spread over 5 days (from June 6 to 10 June). The purpose of the event was to foster intellectual soundness, awaken spirit for sacrifice for larger good of society and highlight the concept of family unit among the female students.
As per schedule, the students were conducted to various beautiful places in valleys of Naran and kaghan such as Jheel Saif-ul-Maulk, Shughran, and River Kunhar. In addition to enjoying scenic beauty, the students held special spiritual sessions of Hamd-o-Naat. They also listened to recorded speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on different topics besides taking part in group discussions that ranged on a wide range of topics.
The students designed a course of action for collective well-being and reform in the light of lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam. Principal Ms. Farah Naz gave a talk on the topic of promotion of positive attitudes and positive manner of thinking in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
Miss Javeria Hassan and Muneeba Shafique apprised the students about the purpose of workshop on their way towards the tourist places. It was a great opportunity of learning in the most scenic and beautiful places of Pakistan. The students made most of the occasion and dwelled on ways and means to bring about positive changes in their individual as well as collective lives.
