Annual Sports gala was held on February 18, 2015 at Minhaj College for Women in a fantastic atmosphere with traditional enthusiasm. The ceremony was started with the recitation of Verses from Holy Qur’an followed by its translation and Naat–e-Rasool Maqbool (SAW). The entrance and the surroundings of the grounds were decorated with the colored buntings, banners and with flags of different size.

Balloons were released in the air, which constituted a fascinating sight. National anthem was played. Students did march past. The grand opening of ceremony was graced by the presence of school officials, the Principal Dr.Samar Fatima, Vice Principal Mrs. Humaira Naaz, In-charge Sports Society Ms. Yasmeen Tahira and teaching faculty of Minhaj College for Women.

The ceremony was commenced with welcoming notes delivered by In-charge Bazm –e-Minhaj Ms. Umme Habiba. To make this event significant, the Lecturer physical education Ms. Yasmeen Tahira and the co-coordinator sports gala proposed a designed logo. Later on, President Sports Society Zainab Rashid opened the session with oath.

The first session of the program was followed by Flag hoisting ceremony, parade, P.T. and Gymnastic. The proceeding of the ceremony went underway with different competitions including Volley Ball, Cricket and races including Chati race, sack race, 3 leg race and hurdle race. Audience witnessed tough competition but the winners stood out with dignity. At the end of the ceremony Chief Guest Principal Dr. Samar Fatima distributed prizes among winners. Ms. Yasmeen Tahira, In-charge Sports Society, was specially appreciated for organizing a great event. The ceremony got culminated with the playing of National Anthem.
